SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
Early in the Autumn Term a list of holiday dates for the year will be sent to parents. Schools have a discretionary power to grant limited leave for holidays during term time. Only in exceptional circumstances can the leave exceed ten days in one year. Applications for holiday leave should be in advance and by letter to the Headteacher. Parents will then receive a notification reply registering their request.
ABSENCES
When a child is away a note of explanation should be sent or a telephone call should be made. This allows us to know where your child is and enables us to decide whether the absence is authorised.
Parents should be aware that Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs) for Y2 and Y6 children take place during May, (mock SATs during April and May) – NO authorised absences are permissible during this period.
