The British Council has approved our application for funding to link with schools in Italy, Belgium and Sweden for our Comenius project Europe@Play Sadly, Slovenia did not receive funding for the project.
This project will be an ideal way to promote a healthy school environment, where children can play happily and safely together. The main aims of this project are to improve playground facilities and behaviour, and also to help children to enjoy learning by playing educational games.
We believe that this international project will broaden the experiences of our children and enrich school life in an exciting and meaningful manner. Teachers from these schools will visit us and share ideas. Some of our teachers will visit their schools as well to work on the project.
We had a competition to design a logo for our Comenius ‘Europe @ Play’ project. There were four winners. Katie, Jodie, Charlie and Samantha all contributed ideas to this final design.

Teachers from our Comenius partner schools in Italy, Belgium and Sweden visited our school 5th - 7th March for our second Comenius meeting. We exchanged games ideas and school mascots and talked about how to improve our children's play experiences. A great time was had by all.
