International Project - Meeting 1

Our first project meeting was at Asklandaskolan School in Fristad, Sweden 13th-17th November. It was snowing! Beaca Bear, our school mascot came with us.

Mrs Zlobec, Mrs Perry and Miss Millward met teachers from our partner schools in Belgium, Italy and Sweden to discuss our current play situations and present our school mascots.

Here is Beaca Bear with the other school mascots:

Sweden has a moose.

Italy has a kestrel named Manni.

Belgium has a donkey named Jefke

We discussed ideas to be developed before our next meeting such as making a mascot diary and introducing game cards. Our partner school in Italy has already started to make game cards for the children to use at break time.

We also spent time observing lessons in the Swedish school including textiles, woodwork and an outdoor activity  lesson in their Forest school.
