Care BR
Over the last 5 years, Care BR has raised over £65,000 for charities and good causes. This includes the NSPCC, Children in Need, Comic Relief, Young Minds, Sports Relief, RSPCA, homeless shelters, Motor Neurone Charity, Off the Record, many local causes and more.
We place great importance on developing pupils’ characters, encouraging positive personal traits, dispositions and virtues that informs pupils’ motivation and guides their conduct so that they reflect wisely, learn eagerly, behave with integrity and cooperate consistently well with others. This gives pupils the qualities they need to flourish in our society.
Beacon Rise strives to develop pupils to become responsible, respectful and active citizens who can play their part and become actively involved in public life as adults – regular charitable initiatives are an essential way of promoting this.
Term 1
On Friday 3rd October, we wore red and held a bake sale to raise awareness and funds for the Red Sky Foundation.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event by running stalls, donating cakes, and taking part in our non-uniform day. Together, we raised an incredible £900!
Heart Transplant Fundraising
On September 27th and 28th, some of our parents, along with Mr Lee and Mr Speirs, took part in a ‘Coast to Coast Bike Ride’ to raise money for the Red Sky Foundation.
The group aimed to support babies, children, and adults born with congenital heart disease. Together, our parents and staff worked hard to raise awareness and funds to help “mend some broken hearts.”
The money raised will help provide vital equipment that keeps organs working while in transit — a truly life-saving cause.
A huge well done and thank you to everyone involved for their incredible effort and dedication!
