Food and Drink

Our school meals provider is Alliance in Partnership (AiP) who are a privately owned catering company under the Sodexo umbrella who cater exclusively for school meals.

AiP use fresh, high quality and locally sourced ingredients that the children enjoy. With exception of adjustments made due to the pandemic, every day there will be a hot meal, vegetarian option, jacket potato and salad cart and all the meals are homemade and cooked on site daily.

All children, who are in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, will still be entitled to receive a daily free school meal. For children in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6, the price of a school dinner is £2.45 per day

Alternatively children may bring their own packed lunch to school and are encouraged to provide food in line with our healthy eating aims. Please remember we are a nut free school.

Fruit is provided daily for all Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils and is eaten with a drink at playtime in the morning.

Water can be brought into school each day.

Pupils’ School Milk

School age children up to their 5th birthday are entitled to free milk, but we are able to offer fresh milk daily to children at Beacon Rise Primary school through a scheme set up jointly by the Local Education Authority, and School Milk Services Limited. The milk is subsidised in part from EC funding and is available to all children aged from five to eleven years.

You would pay just £1.70 a week for your child to receive 200ml carton of semi-skimmed milk at the morning break period. The method of payment for this scheme is in advance direct to School Milk Services, by cheque, postal order (made payable to School Milk Services Ltd) or credit card payment.
