Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support and cover classes across the school but largely in KS2.

The post will involve:
Differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of all children
Planning and leading intervention
Teaching classes each afternoon to release the teacher for PPA
Liaising with teachers and parents

Cover for short notice teacher absence.

We are looking for someone with:

  • The HLTA status or equivalent
  • Experience of teaching whole classes especially within KS2
  • A good understanding of SEND within a primary school setting
    • Energy, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour
    • The ability to use their initiative and be flexible.

This is a permanent position starting in 18th March 2019, for approximately 17.25 hours a week (day to be agreed).
