Allocation of House Points
Any member of staff can award House Points to any child, at any time as a reward for displaying positive attitudes to work, community or wider aspects of school life. The expectation is that children will be loyal to their House and try their best to earn points for their House by displaying good behaviour and attitudes. These points are recorded by the child’s class teacher before handing them over to the Prefects for collation. Children and Houses could also be awarded House points at assembly for good behaviour and/or participation.
Y6 Prefects collect and count up the house points weekly in preparation of the Friday assembly when the weekly winners will be announced.
The House with the most points at the end of a term currently have a ‘Non-Uniform Day’. Every year the Pupil Voice Council will be given the opportunity to review the rewards and make new proposals.
KS1 and KS2 children participate in Houses for their annual Sports Day/s. A shield is awarded to the winning House.
